By personal data we mean any information concerning or relating to a person who is either identified or identifiable. In the context of this document the term “process” is used as a cover all term to describe any operation or set of operations performed on personal data. Processing includes storing, collecting, retrieving, using, combining, erasing and destroying personal data, and can involve automated or manual operations.

The following is a list of time/places where we process personal data. For each, we outline the personal data we process and our reason for doing so:

• When you use our website:

  • User-agent
  • IP address
  • We process these using Plausible to generate a daily changing identifier that lets us estimate how many unique visitors we had on our website in a day. We don't store your user-agent or IP address, they are discarded when the daily changing identifier is generated and the daily changing identifier can't be referenced back to your user-agent or IP address. This is a privacy-friendly alternative to cookies that doesn't require us to store long term identifiers for visitors.



• When you request early access

  • Email address
  • We process this data so we can send you an email with the access code.



• When you use our beta application:

  • Username
  • Email data
  • We process this data to provide you with a unique Vendee email address using your username and to provide our service that enables you to receive emails sent to your Vendee email address.



• When you give us feedback:

  • Name
  • Contact information
  • Responses
  • We process this information to improve our product.

We do not process any other personal information.

In this section a third party refers to any individual or entity other than you and Vendee.

We want to make it clear that we do not sell your data to any third parties or share it with anyone outside of this list. Doing so would violate our values and beliefs as a company. We only share data with third parties where it is necessary in order for us to provide our service.

Third Parties:

Zoho Mail

We use Zoho mail for our company email addresses. This means that any information you provide to members of the Vendee team via email communication will be stored on their servers.

Plausible

We use plausible to estimate how many unique visitors we had on our website in a day without using long term identifiers like cookies.

Google

We use Google drive to store the email addresses of users on our waiting list and to store feedback from users.

Vultr

Our servers are hosted with Vultr cloud providers so your username and email data will be stored on Vultr servers.

AWS

Our website is hosted on AWS so the email address you provide to receive early access or the information you provide on the contact form of our website will be processed on AWS servers. However, we do not store this data on AWS servers.

Slack

We use slack to notify ourselves which user has requested access for the beta.

We retain your personal data as long as you are a user of our services. If you decide to delete your account we will delete all your personal data from our databases within 30 days.

We place great importance on the security of your personal data. However, despite the measures we take to protect your data there all always risks associated with any storage and transmission of data, especially while our product is in beta. As a result we cannot guarantee that data from our databases or those of our third party affiliates will never be lost, misused or destroyed. While our application is in beta we recommend that you don't share any sensitive data with us.

If a data incident that involves your Personal Data occurs, we will take maximum efforts to contain the incident, minimize the risks to the extent possible and provide you with a notification about the incident.

Our services are not intended for users under the age of 16.
